What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that promotes deep relaxation and reduces stress and anxiety through gentle, non-invasive techniques, including light or no-touch methods. Reiki improves the natural flow of life force energy, activating the body's natural ability to heal.

Originating in the early 1900s, Reiki is a Japanese term combining "rei," meaning "universal," and "ki," referring to “life force energy” that naturally flows through all living things.

How can reiki help?

Supports the healthy processing of grief, loss or emotional trauma.

Facilitates the monitoring of energy levels and essential needs such as hunger, thirst, and pain/stress in non-communicative patients, encompassing individuals with conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or psychosis. 

Insomnia

Enhances the efficacy of antipsychotic medications in cases of severe mental illnesses like paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, concurrently diminishing both the side effects of the medication and the symptoms of the illness.

Migranes

Supports expectant mothers in managing the mental and physical challenges throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods.

It is important to remember that Reiki can complement any medical therapy. However, it is not meant to replace traditional medical care from a licensed physician or healthcare professional.

After your Reiki Session, one can expect to feel a sense of peace or harmony within their body, mind, and soul, which often results in reduced stress, enhanced emotional centeredness, and a clear mental state. It is also common to experience improved sleep quality and heightened energy levels following your session. 

 

To foster inner growth and maintain the benefits of Reiki, it is essential to engage in self-care practices such as staying hydrated, allowing time for rest, getting out into nature, yoga, and meditation. Additionally, honoring one’s body’s needs and boundaries, maintaining a balanced diet, staying away from sugary and processed foods, and nurturing oneself with activities that bring joy are crucial for optimal health and well-being.
